Montenero Consulting Limited (MCL) brings a new way of thinking about development consultancy: working with world class experts and small consulting firms to harness their technical expertise and focus on delivering high quality development outcomes. We are committed to fairness and efficiency in the development market – ensuring that poor, marginalised and excluded people benefit from the best possible advice at the lowest possible cost to donors and their taxpayers.
MCL works both directly and by building the delivery capacity of other small firms. MCL works with partner governments, donors, NGOs and other firms to provide the best possible technical advice and operational support for developing and fragile countries. MCL brings both outstanding project delivery experience and a comprehensive understanding of the structure and needs of the development business, including what doesn't work as well as what does. MCL has strong analytical capability, including assessing political and social dynamics as well as technical and economic dimensions, complemented by clear report writing. MCL often works at the highest levels of government and with a wide range of public, private and civil society development partners.
